Carried 20 250 lb bombs. Dropped on secondary target at 1028 hours from 23,200 feet.

Major damage. Two engines were shot out, forcing the plane to land on the continent.

Landed in Belgium at Station A-97. 

S/Sgt John Frey (RW) KIA.

Surviving crew were picked up by the Blum crew in 789 and returned to Mendlesham at 1756 hours.
