Carried 12 M-17 500 lb bombs. Dropped bombs on primary target at Kiel.
At 1135 hours, 41-28851 feathered #4 engine which was smoking. It left the formation turning to the right and dropping 5,000 ft. No chutes were seen. When last seen the plane was heading toward Sweden. The plane landed on a small grassfield called Sövde, around 30 miles east of Bulltofta with the entire crew still on board. The plane and crew were interned in Sweden. Missing Air Crew Report 8461.
